Parallel Dimension I

At first glance
I did not notice the changes,
so subtle and well hidden.
Nothing seemed out of place.
Nothing set off alarms.
There was nothing to suggest that I had slipped
sideways
into another dimension-
parallel to our own,
and almost identical.

Except the moon,
so voluptuous and full-
swollen with possibilities
the way the moon has never been.
It is the moon that poets, writers
and artists
only imagined.

Now the cat is out of the bag;
I know where I am,
and where I am not.
So it is time to explore-
to see what other surprises await me

hiding
out in the open.
